      What's in Our CBD Salve?

      What's in Our CBD Salve?

The studies are in—14 percent of Americans are using CBD products for all kinds of reasons. All this consumer interest in CBD has breathed impressive life into a booming product industry, but, rest assured, not all CBD salves are created equal. Sadly, if you get your hands on something that is not high-quality CBD, you may be left thinking CBD is not effective contrary to the published research.

At Fully Activated, we have spent years curating and perfecting our full spectrum CBD salve so we can make sure your experience with our product is a positive one. Let's take a look at the prime ingredient in our CBD salve, which is full-spectrum CBD, and the rest of the ingredient list so you know just what you're getting and why we put it in our product.

      What Is Full-Spectrum CBD?

First and foremost, Fully Activated Full Spectrum CBD Salve contains CBD distillate, which is sourced from Colorado-grown hemp. CBD distillate is a refined extract product that is taken from hemp flower and biomass. This full-spectrum CBD ingredient contains a high percentage of just CBD (cannabidiol), but it also contains a list of other terpenes, cannabinoids, and hemp components.

Full-spectrum CBD is essentially CBD and other plant agents that are thought to work in synergy with one another to generate the most desirable effect. This effect is often referred to as the "entourage effect." Of course, CBD all on its own has been thoroughly researched as a potential therapeutic agent for a list of ailments, including pain and inflammation, and neuropathic pain.

What About Calendula, Chamomile, and Lavender?

We've selected several organic herbs to include in our full spectrum CBD salve, and each one has its own purpose for being included. Each one has its own potential health and wellness benefits:

      • Calendula: Harvested from marigold flowers, calendula is considered to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties. Therefore, it may be useful for soothing issues with eczema and diaper rash, thwarting issues with acne, or healing wounds, to name a few uses.
      • Chamomile: Taken from the chamomile plant that is related to daisies, chamomile oil may offer several advantages for the skin primarily due to one of its constituents chamazulene. Chamomile oil may help with healing ulcers, wounds, and sores, has anti-inflammatory properties, and may ease skin rashes.
      • Lavender: Most noted for its soothing aromatics, lavender may also offer therapeutic benefits for the skin. Lavender has been researched for its anti-fungal properties and its potential to treat issues with hair loss and encourage wound healing. It may also help with the healing process of minor burns or bug bites.

What About Everything Else On the Ingredient List?

Everything else added to our CBD salve is just as organic as the main herbs included and the CBD we use. Olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, vitamin E, arnica oil—all of these ingredients can be nourishing for your skin or scalp. Essential lavender and peppermint oil offer a soothing, natural fragrance to the salve as well. What you will not find in Fully Activated CBD salve: No artificial ingredients, no chemical additives or preservatives, and no faux fragrances. When you apply salve to your skin for whatever reason, we want to make sure you're getting only the good stuff, so we avoid common ingredients that can have detrimental effects on the body.
